Mountain Bluebells

My roots are anchored
In the rocky soil.
My leaves curve upward,
Wide and shivering.
My petals are blue,
And though they seem to droop
I am not wilted,
But the peel of my bells
Has run away with the wind.

I visited Fossil Butte National Monument yesterday and was distracted on my hike by these small blue flowers all along the trail. At first I thought they were wilted because of the wind or the cold, but when I looked closer I realized they were just thin and drooped toward the ground. A quick Google search suggests they are mountain bluebells.
